Dr. Vikki,
Last year I had a positive genetic test for the celiac gene (done through the Mayo Clinic) and positive testing from Enterolab (gliadin IgA and Transglutaminase IgA).
I had negative biopsy and blood work through a GI doctor that was done after a gluten challenge that came back negative.
I am diligent about keeping gluten out of my diet and feel like a new person… not only regarding my GI symptoms but many other health issues have cleared up as well. I am very sensitive and exhibit reactions to even small amounts of gluten from cross-contamination.
I was wondering your opinion regarding a case such as mine. I am obviously intolerant of gluten, but didn’t know if I was headed down the path to full blown celiac disease given the positive genetic testing.
Thanks! And thanks also for sharing your knowledge through your videos.
