Some things are just so embarrassing that you have to tell someone no matter how silly it makes you look. So I’ll go ahead and tell 20,000 people. The CEO of Zing Nutrition Bars was kind enough to send me a variety of his current line. And he wrote a nice hand written letter telling me what was and WAS NOT gluten free. Well, this dumb blogger didn’t read it…I just took some pictures and dug in. You know how the rest of my night went so I wont get into that. Super…the first thing I tell people when I speak at celiac conferences is, “Always read the label!” or in this case, the label and a personal hand written letter. So please, do as I say…not as I do.
Now that I have that out of the way, lets talk about the ones that ARE gluten free. I never liked many candy bars even when I could have them, they are just too sweet. And some of those ‘Power’ful bars are disgusting! These Zing Bars are neither of those thankfully and they fit my taste perfectly. I ride mountain bikes often and these bars are slim, wont melt instantly, and are high in protein/low in fat, and most importantly they taste absolutely fantastic too! Even the uh…one that’s not gluten free was great and the good news is that one will be gluten free very soon.
You can order these on line right HERE, or maybe you are lucky enough to live near one of the stores. Either way, these go on my Winners List and I can’t wait to have more!
Thanks Zing Bars!

I live in Seattle, WA where Zing Bars are made and they are the BEST TASTING bars ever!!. I buy them at PCC Natural Markets, Met Markets and at Super Supplements. At many stores these are the ONLY Peanut Butter bars on the shelves because Zing was not re-called. Thanks for this delicious post!!
I went out and bought some as soon as I read the post. They are AMAZING! My kids went crazy for them too. We are a gluten free family so I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found these bars. Thank you so much for psting about them.

We’ll have to look for these. I have tagged you in a little game some of the GF bloggers are playing this week.
Jay, All Zing Bars are now certified Gluten Free, they are using G-F Oats!! I’m sure if you email them, they’ll send you the new gluten-free Oatmeal Choc Chip bar for you to taste. You must also try the new vegan bar, Peanut Butter Choc Chip, so yummy!
